In this project, I photographed my family while we got together for holidays and celebrations, the only moments we had together after my father passed away. At such reunions, we tried to have a continuous life as a family as if we were able to freeze that moment in time until our next encounter. We celebrated, grew and experienced mourning together in the hope of moving on.

After my father's passing, my sisters moved to different parts of the country, birthdays and holidays then became our only chance to be together. We lived during these celebrations as if not a single moment had passed in between them. We were joyful, but experiencing sadness was inevitable. I photographed our happiest moments which were also our only chance to mourn our loss as a family.
